Kamran Virani, Chief Executive Officer

As the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Affordable Power, L.P., Kamran has full accountability for all aspects of Affordable’s business. Kamran has been in his current position since December 2004, where he uses over ten years of business development and management experience.

Kamran’s successful record of launching and developing new business is ideal for leading Affordable Power’s sustainable growth. Before forming Affordable Power, Kamran was President and Principal of Cellular Outlet, a wholesale and retail wireless distributor servicing North America, and founding Principal of Electronic Payment Solutions, a prepaid wireless airtime distributor providing airtime solutions across the United States. In 2004 Electronic Payment Solutions merged with Payspot, one of the leading prepaid electronic payment processors in the U.S. While with Payspot, Kamran was President of the Texas Costal Region, where he led large global teams and brought new technologies into the market. 

Kamran holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston.


Chris Weaver, Chief Financial Officer

Chris Weaver serves as the Chief Financial Officer and has worked in the energy and utility industry for the past nine years. He served as the Controller of Power Innovations, a Linden Utah based backup power provider, prior to joining the assurance group with Deloitte & Touche in 2002. During his tenure with Deloitte and Touche, Chris held various leadership positions and specialized in working with clients in the power generation, gas transportation and utility business.  Chris joined Affordable Power, L.P. in 2007 as part of its management team.

Chris holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Accountancy in Professional Accounting from Brigham Young University. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Chris L. Martin, Chief Marketing Officer

Chris Martin serves as Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Chris coordinates and directs daily operational business aspects focused on sales, marketing strategy, product planning, and excellent customer relations within all markets served. He has eighteen years of experience in various customer service oriented businesses. Eight of these years has been spent working the deregulated energy markets. Prior to joining Affordable Power, Chris was SVP of Sales and Marketing with Unified Power of Texas Inc. Additionally, Chris has over six years working as a consultant in the deregulated electricity market in Texas. It's this experience that makes Chris uniquely qualified to grow Affordable Power's business.

Rahim Visram, Director, Regulatory Compliance and Data Systems

Rahim Visram currently serves as Director of Regulatory Compliance and Data Systems.  In December 2004, Rahim co-founded Affordable Power, L.P. with responsibilities for developing mid- and back-end processes and procedures for customer service and call center operations. Rahim also led the entrance of Affordable Power, L.P. into the ERCOT market which included, LSE and QSE Operations, as well as overall operational support.  In November 2007, Rahim assumed responsibilities of Affordable Power’s regulatory compliance and data systems integrity.

During his twelve year career, Rahim has cultivated teams, implemented policies and procedures and engineered processes, which improved overall return on investment via sales efficiencies and customer satisfaction for financial institutions, including Bank of America. Rahim remains an active volunteer in his community from assisting with local and long distance transportation needs, fundraiser logistics and marketing to youth camps, family camps, and other smaller events held on a quarterly basis.
